I am being treated here for my TMJ disorder as well as my child for jaw development to try to guide her teeth growth instead of using braces. If you are looking for someone to treat the “whole person” from a very comprehensive approach (like spend an entire HOUR) discussing your concerns and treating you—this is your dentist! They are professional and so up to date on all the current therapy—in the 6 mons or so I’ve been in treatment Dr Johnansen has gone to multiple courses. This lady loves to learn and then apply it!
This is the 4th dentist I’ve seen over a 5 year period for my TMJ (including TMJ therapy of UT in American Fork).
I have been through 4 other jaw appliances. She is the first dentist who truly took time with me, did a sleep test , and is helping me with the root cause of my TMJ problems.
For the first time in 5 years I am not locking, clicking, or constantly in pain.
