Kiss Snoring Goodnight
Your oral health is an integral part of your livelihood and extends far beyond your teeth alone. By offering NightLase® treatment, our team can help restore your quality of life and improve your overall health and function by returning your ability to sleep uninterrupted with optimal airflow! While often regarded as merely an annoyance to those in ear’s reach, chronic snoring is nothing to shrug off! As it can lead to many of the following complications;
• A lack of energy (fatigue) throughout the day
• Trouble with focusing and completing tasks
• Higher likelihood of causing a motor vehicle accident
• A heightened risk of high blood pressure and type 2 diabetes
• Increased chances of heart conditions and strokes
• Decreased blood oxygen levels
In fact, snoring occurs when air can’t move freely through your nose and throat as you slumber. This makes the surrounding tissues vibrate, producing the familiar and irritating sound we all know too well. For those who snore consistently, it’s typically due to an excess of floppy throat tissue which disrupts precious airflow!
Chronic snoring is often a sign of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) which poses the same serious health complications mentioned above, and far more, if not rectified. While NightLase® isn’t completely capable of solving OSA alone, it’s benefits will prove to be helpful alongside the usage of your sleep apnea machine!
How NightLase® Works
A virtually painless and capable solution to solve snoring, NightLase® is one of a kind for a reason.
This procedure utilizes a low-level laser to gently target and heat tissue, typically situated around the soft palate of the mouth. This increases collagen production and strengthens these connective tissues, and as a result, the treated area becomes firm. Without the need for incisions, cuts, or burns, NightLase® stimulates the airway to open back up as intended without any downtime!
Dr. Johansen will apply a pre-laser serum. She will begin the toning and tightening process with the laser. The laser tones your tissue through heat. It will take 30 to 40 minutes for the procedure as the laser pulses heat through the tissue and stimulates collagen production.
The entire treatment typically takes less than an hour, and there is no downtime afterward! Patients typically see an immediate improvement in their symptoms, but the full benefits of treatment can take a few weeks and require follow up appointments until totally apparent. After a year, patients typically require minor re-treatments to continue to ward off snoring effectively.
Cost of NightLase® Treatment in Alpine
NightLase® treatments typically cost anywhere between $400-$600 per session. With patients usually requiring three to five visits for completion, you can expect the entire process to have a price tag between $1200-$1800 in total. A fair price to pay for a guaranteed improved quality of sleep!
As always, we provide our patients with various financing options to cover all your oral health needs. So be sure to speak to one of our team members for more information!
Dr. Johansen is fantastic!
Dr. Johansen is such a personable and caring doctor. Every time I interact with her, I feel that she genuinely has my best interest at heart. I highly recommend her.
Dr. Johansen is very personable and knowledgeable! I went to bed one night without my Vivos and woke up gasping for air. I put in my Vivos appliance and slept well the rest of the night. I needed to know this wasn't a fluke, so I purposefully went to bed the next night and had the same result after putting in my Vivos. :)
