Sleep Solutions for Adults
Sleep is essential for overall health, energy, and well-being. Many adults struggle with sleep-disordered breathing or sleep apnea, which can interfere with restorative sleep and lead to fatigue, cognitive difficulties, and other health concerns. Our office offers a comprehensive, individualized approach to help adults sleep better, whether through oral appliance therapy, collaboration with sleep physicians, or complementary therapies.
Understanding Sleep Apnea and Sleep-Disordered Breathing
Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) occurs when the airway becomes partially or completely blocked during sleep, causing repeated pauses in breathing. These events can result in snoring, gasping, frequent awakenings, and reduced oxygen levels. Sleep-disordered breathing may be a milder form of airway restriction but can still impact sleep quality and overall health.
Our Approach to Sleep Solutions
We offer a variety of solutions tailored to your needs, combining medical oversight, dental expertise, and functional airway therapies:
Oral Appliance Therapy
Often called a mandibular advancement device (MAD), this custom-fit oral appliance gently repositions the lower jaw forward during sleep, helping to keep the airway open. Many patients experience reduced snoring, fewer apneic events, and improved sleep quality.
Sleep Screenings
We offer at-home sleep tests using the SleepImage Ring, which can provide insight into sleep quality and apneic events. Test results can be interpreted by a sleep physician for an additional fee.
Collaboration with Sleep Physicians
We work closely with board-certified sleep physicians via telemedicine to diagnose sleep apnea, review sleep study results, and explore treatment options, including CPAP alternatives when appropriate.
ENT Collaboration
If nasal obstruction or other structural issues are present, we coordinate care with ENT specialists to optimize airway function.
Cranial Work & Endonasal Balloon Technique
We provide complementary therapies to support airway function and, in some cases, prepare patients for potential surgical interventions.
Insurance and Support
We are happy to help patients review medical insurance benefits that may cover aspects of sleep therapy, including oral appliances, sleep studies, and physician consultations. Our team works to make the process as seamless as possible.
What to Expect
While outcomes vary and no treatment can be guaranteed, many patients experience:
- Reduced snoring and apneic events
- Improved daytime alertness and energy
- Better overall sleep quality, allowing couples to share beds comfortably
- Supportive, multidisciplinary care to address structural, functional, and airway concerns

Understanding Sleep Apnea
Sleep apnea is a sleep disorder in which breathing is repeatedly interrupted during the night. These pauses, which can last from a few seconds to over a minute, prevent the body from getting consistent oxygen and disrupt the natural sleep cycle. As a result, even after a full night’s sleep, individuals often wake feeling tired, groggy, or unrefreshed. Over time, untreated sleep apnea can contribute to fatigue, impaired focus, and an increased risk for serious health conditions.
Sleep apnea is a common condition that can affect adults of any age and gender, though it tends to be more prevalent in men and those with certain risk factors such as obesity or structural airway differences. Because it can go unnoticed by the person affected, it is often identified by a bed partner, family member, or through sleep testing.
