Fotona Laser Rejuvenation

Different areas ask for different treatments

SmoothLase®, SmoothEye®, LipLase® and neck rejuvenation are targeted Fotona laser treatments. Each is non-invasive, each is designed to support the skin’s own collagen remodeling, and each is directed at a specific part of the face or neck.

What they share

The same intent, applied differently.

Non-invasive by design

No incisions and no injectables. These treatments are not a replacement for surgery or for filler, and we do not present them that way.

Working with your own tissue

Laser energy is used to warm tissue in a controlled way, with the intent of supporting the body’s own collagen remodeling over time.

Gradual by nature

Any change tends to develop over weeks to months. Responses vary between patients, and we say so before we start.

Individualized, not packaged

How treatment is approached for you depends on evaluation — not on a standard menu.

01 · Lower face

SmoothLase®

SmoothLase® is directed intraorally — through the tissue inside the cheeks and lips — approaching the lower face from behind rather than only from the surface. It is designed to support collagen remodeling in that area, and may help improve the appearance of lines around the mouth and softening along the jawline.

Commonly asked about for

  • Lines around the mouth and nasolabial area
  • Mild softening along the jawline and lower face
  • A preference for avoiding needles and surgery

Not a facelift and not a filler. Change, when it occurs, is gradual.

02 · Eye area

SmoothEye®

The skin around the eyes is thin and unforgiving, so this treatment is deliberately the gentlest of the group. SmoothEye® is designed to support collagen remodeling in that delicate area, and may help improve the appearance of fine crepey texture.

Commonly asked about for

Fine lines and crepey texture in the skin around the eyes.

What it does not do

It does not lift eyelid skin surgically and it does not remove under-eye fullness.

03 · Lips

LipLase®

LipLase® is directed at the lips and the tissue immediately around them. It is designed to support collagen remodeling there, and may help improve the appearance of lip contour and the fine vertical lines above the lip.

It is not a filler. Nothing is injected and no volume is added — which is precisely why some patients ask about it.

Often considered by

People who want their own lip line to look a little more defined without the look, or the commitment, of injectables.

04 · Neck

Neck rejuvenation

The neck often shows change earlier than the face and is frequently left out of a skincare routine. Laser treatment here is designed to support collagen remodeling in neck skin, and may help improve the appearance of tone and texture.

It is not a neck lift, and it does not remove submental fullness. Where the neck is treated alongside the lower face, that is a clinical decision made case by case.

The broader option

When the whole face is the question.

Fotona 4D® combines intraoral and surface passes into a single layered sequence rather than treating one area in isolation. If your concern is general rather than specific, that is usually the conversation to have.

What a visit involves

Nothing surprising should happen.

In-office and non-invasive

No incisions and no injectables, performed in our Alpine office.

A warm sensation

Most people describe controlled warmth. You can ask us to pause at any point.

Afterwards

Any aftercare and sun-care guidance is given to you directly, because it depends on the area treated and on your skin.

Your plan

Recommendations are individualized.

Which treatment, how many sessions, how they are spaced and what recovery looks like for you are clinical decisions made after evaluation. We deliberately do not publish those specifics, because the honest answer depends on the patient.

Expectations

What we will and won’t say.

  • These treatments may help improve the appearance of skin in the treated area; they are designed to support collagen remodeling.
  • They are not permanent, not guaranteed and do not reverse aging.
  • They do not replace surgery and do not replace injectable filler.
  • We do not publish simulated or representative before-and-after imagery.
  • Responses vary. If a laser treatment is not the right tool for you, we will say so.

Questions

Questions about Fotona laser rejuvenation.

What do these Fotona treatments have in common?
Each uses laser energy in a non-invasive way, designed to support the skin’s own collagen remodeling. They differ mainly in where they are directed and how gentle the approach needs to be for that area.
Which one is right for me?
That depends on what you have noticed and on evaluation. Many patients are best served by one targeted treatment; others are better suited to the broader Fotona 4D® sequence, and for some the honest answer is that no laser treatment is the right tool.
Are these treatments a substitute for surgery or filler?
No. They are not a replacement for surgical procedures, and they do not add volume the way an injectable does.
How many sessions will I need?
Recommendations are individualized. Session count and spacing are clinical decisions made after evaluation, so we do not publish a schedule here.
Is there downtime?
Any recovery or aftercare guidance is individualized and given to you directly, because it depends on your skin, the area treated and your plan.
Does it hurt?
Most people describe a warm sensation. Comfort is discussed with you in advance, and you can ask us to pause at any point.
How soon might I notice a difference?
Change, when it occurs, is gradual and develops over time as tissue responds. Some people notice more than others.
How long do results last?
We do not describe results as permanent or guaranteed. Aging continues, and any maintenance approach is discussed individually.
Can more than one area be treated?
For selected patients, yes. Whether and how treatments are combined or sequenced is a clinical judgement rather than a package.
Is it appropriate for every skin type?
Suitability is assessed individually. Certain skin conditions, medications and medical histories matter, which is why evaluation comes first.
Do you publish before-and-after photos?
We do not publish simulated or representative imagery. Expectations are discussed honestly with you in person instead.
Why are these offered in a dental practice?
Several of these treatments are approached partly from inside the mouth, which sits naturally in a practice that works with the mouth, jaw and facial structure every day.
