Acne Treatment

Laser-based options for active acne, used as one part of a broader skin plan rather than a standalone cure.

What it is

Fotona laser settings can be directed at areas of active breakout, targeting the sebaceous glands and inflamed tissue. Treatment is topical and non-invasive, and it is generally combined with a consistent home skincare routine.

How we approach it

Acne has many drivers — hormonal, dietary, genetic and bacterial among them. We are careful not to overstate what a laser can do on its own. Where acne is severe, persistent or scarring, we will say so and recommend coordination with a dermatologist or physician.

  • Active inflammatory breakouts on the face or back
  • People looking for options alongside, not instead of, medical care
  • Often sequenced before scar-focused treatment

What a visit involves

Sessions are short and performed in-office with protective eyewear. Some warmth or temporary redness afterward is common. A series of treatments spaced over several weeks is typical, and progress is reviewed as you go.

We see patients at our Alpine, Utah office, including families from Highland, Cedar Hills, American Fork, Lehi and across Utah County.

A conversation is a reasonable place to begin.

We’ll review your goals, your health history and whether this treatment is a sensible fit — or whether something else would serve you better.
