For healthcare providers
Care works better when offices talk.
Alpine Airway Wellness is an airway, sleep and TMJ-focused dental practice in Alpine, Utah. We work alongside physicians, sleep medicine, ENT, orthodontics and therapy colleagues — within dental scope, and with your diagnosis and plan leading the way.

How we collaborate
A referral should make your job easier, not longer.
01
Your diagnosis stays yours
Medical diagnoses — including obstructive sleep apnea — remain with the treating physician. We screen, evaluate dental and craniofacial factors, and share what we observe.
02
Conservative first
We begin with reversible, conservative options where they are appropriate, and we say plainly when something falls outside our scope.
03
Documentation you can use
Findings, appliance details and progress notes are written to be readable by a referring office, not just by us.
04
The patient goes back to you
Referral is a loop, not a hand-off. Patients return to your care with a clear summary of what was and was not addressed.
Who we work with
Shared cases, clear lanes.
Physicians & sleep medicine
Oral appliance therapy and adjunct dental care for selected patients following medical diagnosis, with outcomes communicated back for follow-up testing decisions.
Oral Appliance TherapyENT
Nasal patency, mouth breathing and airway-related dental findings often overlap. We coordinate rather than duplicate.
Mouth BreathingOrthodontists
Growth, arch development and functional considerations discussed alongside an existing orthodontic plan.
Early & Functional OrthodonticsPediatricians & pediatric dentists
Children whose parents notice snoring, open-mouth posture or restless sleep, evaluated for dental and craniofacial contributors.
Children’s Airway & GrowthMyofunctional & manual therapists
Shared cases where oral function, tongue posture or muscular tension are part of the picture.
Myofunctional TherapyDentists & hygienists
Patients with wear, clenching, jaw pain or limited opening who need a longer conversation than a recall visit allows.
TMJ & Jaw PainWhen to send someone our way
Common reasons colleagues call.
None of these are diagnoses on their own. They are the situations where a longer, airway-focused dental evaluation tends to be useful.
- CPAP is difficult for the patient to tolerate, and the physician is open to discussing alternatives
- Snoring or restless sleep in a child, with dental or craniofacial questions
- Jaw pain, clicking, limited opening, or headaches with a suspected muscular component
- Clenching and wear patterns that keep returning
- Mouth breathing, tongue posture or oral function concerns
- A patient who simply needs an unhurried airway-focused dental evaluation
What we provide
Services your patients may be seen for.
Obstructive sleep apnea is a medical diagnosis. Dental treatment such as oral appliance therapy is provided for selected patients where appropriate, alongside medical care rather than in place of it.

The patient is seen for an unhurried airway, sleep or TMJ-focused dental evaluation.
04
Written summary
You receive our findings and what we recommend — including when the answer is medical, not dental.
05

Progress and appliance details are shared so your follow-up decisions are informed.
Provider education
Bring airway, sleep & TMJ education to your team.
We offer complimentary Lunch & Learns for local healthcare practices interested in learning more about the connection between breathing, sleep, craniofacial development, oral function and TMJ concerns.
These informal sessions are designed to help your team recognize patterns that may warrant further evaluation, understand the treatment options available, and make more informed referrals when patients ask for help.

Why
Recognize what may be connected.
Patients don't always present saying, “I have an airway problem” or “I have TMD.” They may mention poor sleep, snoring, mouth breathing, headaches, jaw tension, clenching, facial pain, or concerns about their child's growth.
Learn which patterns may be worth a closer look and when collaboration with another provider may be helpful.
What
Choose the topics most useful to your team.
A Lunch & Learn can be customized around your practice and may include:
- TMJ & jaw pain
- Sleep-disordered breathing and snoring
- Pediatric airway and craniofacial growth
- Mouth breathing and oral function
- Tongue-ties and myofunctional therapy
- Conservative TMJ treatment options
- Oral appliance therapy for sleep apnea
- Laser and photobiomodulation applications
- When and why to refer
- How our office can collaborate with your team
How
We'll come to you.
Choose a topic or tell us what your team would like to understand better. We'll coordinate a convenient time and bring the education to your office.
Keep this easy and low-pressure. The purpose is provider education and creating better interdisciplinary care — not a sales presentation.
Have a specific topic in mind? Let us know what your team would like to learn.
Refer a patient
Start with a conversation.
The fastest route is a call or text to (801) 899-9789. If you would rather prepare first, the note builder assembles a short, non-identifying summary you can read out or send through your own secure channel.
Please do not submit patient health information through this website.
Questions before you refer? Call us.
We are happy to talk through a case in general terms, or to tell you plainly when something is outside what dentistry should be handling.
